What We’ve Been Listening to This Week
Before we get into everything we have planned for the month ahead, we wanted to give you something to take into the weekend: a few conversations that will expand your perspective and educate you on your wellness as a woman.
Podcasts we have been sharing in our group chats. Something to put on instead of mindlessly scrolling. On your morning walk, while you’re making breakfast, driving to ClubWell, cleaning out your closet or taking a long bath.
A small way to pour back into yourself, rather than spend your time consuming something that leaves you feeling drained and overstimulated.
These are conversations that have shifted our own perspectives, opened our minds and made us think differently about our health, our bodies and the way we care for ourselves and live our lives. So, instead of scrolling, press play (and let us know what you think in The WellWithin Broadcast Channel on Instagram when you’re done).
3 podcasts & 1 sound bath session:
1. How One “Golden Moment” Can Transform Your Entire Life: The Mel Robbins Podcast with John Grisham (1 hour 9 minutes)
Perfect if: You’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain about what comes next, or wondering if there’s another version of your life waiting for you.
Personal takeaway: Your current path doesn’t have to be your final one.
We loved the idea of a “golden moment”, the people, experiences or ideas that can unexpectedly shift the direction of your life and the reminder that you don’t have to have the whole next chapter figured out before you start writing it.
We love this because: It’s an honest conversation about reinvention, rejection, purpose and finding your way when life doesn’t go exactly as planned. John Grisham’s story highlights that a different chapter of your life can begin at any point, and that small, consistent steps can eventually change the direction of your life.
2. Want a Healthy Brain at 80? Here’s What to Do in Your 20s, 30s & 40s: Girls Gone Wellness (1 hour 13 minutes)
Perfect if: You are interested in longevity, healthy aging, or what you can do now to support your health in the years ahead.
Personal takeaway: We loved the reminder that brain health isn’t something we should only start thinking about later in life (as a reaction). So much of what supports our brains as women also comes back to the basics and the everyday choices that add up over time.
We love this because: It makes a topic that can feel far away surprisingly relevant and in our control. The conversation covers everything from brain fog and attention to nutrition, menopause and cognitive health, while reminding us that caring for our future selves starts much earlier than we think.
3. Diane von Furstenberg: How to Become the Woman You Want to Be: Aspire With Emma Greede (57 minutes)
Perfect if: You’re thinking about the woman you’re becoming and how to build a life that feels like your own, at any stage.
Personal takeaway: We were especially struck by Diane’s perspective on self-belief and the importance of becoming comfortable with who you are, rather than constantly comparing yourself to who someone else is. There’s something powerful about remembering that becoming yourself is a lifelong process.
We love this because: It’s an honest conversation about self-trust, independence, motherhood and mistakes. Diane’s story is a reminder that there isn’t one version of what it means to be a successful woman and that liking the person you’re becoming may be one of the most important measures of all.
4. 20-minute sound bath for relaxation
Perfect if: The day becomes overwhelming, or you’re craving a moment to slow down and come back to yourself.
Personal takeaway: Twenty minutes can completely shift the way you move through the rest of your day.
We love this because: Giving your nervous system a moment to settle and let yourself be still is an amazing feeling. Put this on, get comfortable and give yourself the next 20 minutes.
We hope this gives you a moment of ClubWell, outside the walls of the Club.
Something to make you think, or simply a few minutes to pour back into yourself. That’s what WellWithin is all about: bringing a little more wellness into all moments of your life.
